We drove to Wenatchee this weekend for a visit with family and friends. Each meet-up seemed to involve delicious food, coffee or wine. A perfectly pleasant way to pass the time, although I will need to run a few extra miles this week to burn it all off. When I wasn't eating, I was knitting. I took full advantage of my mom's expertise in this area and got some much needed help. Oh yes, I also got to watch a dance recital by Grace's former dance school. It was wonderful seeing the talent of her friends, but also sad, knowing how badly Grace wanted to be on that stage, dancing with them. She has one more month to go until she starts at her new dance school.
On a related note, check out this beautiful lyrical dance! These dancers are not people I know, it's just something I saw and had to share.
I didn't get to see the Maypole dancers in Leavenworth when we stopped by. I must have just missed them. There were a few people doing the chicken dance, but that is such a common occurence there, that I forgot to even snap a photo of them. Instead, here are a couple other photos I snapped while I was there.
The picture above shows four generations of women in my family. We all got together for brunch to celebrate Mother's day.
Below, is a photo that my sister took for the month of May and my four people//twelve times project. I'm trying to get a family photo every month this year.
And here are the cousins....my sister's kids and mine. They had a fun time playing together this weekend.
