Two thoughts:
Athena is always doing something when she is supposed to be making her bed too. She doesn't usually get dressed, which is why she has to change pajamas every night. (sigh)

We are liking Teaching Textbooks as well. I love how they explain things and then tell you why you got an answer wrong.

Lovely photography. Trent cracks me up.

I guess that was more than two thoughts. Oh well.

I'm going to follow up on many of those links. We love Khan Academy but I suspect I haven't yet come to appreciate all it offers.

The Aristotle quote is brilliant.

Khan started out so well for us last year and then just kind of fell apart, which was a shame, because I liked so many things about it. (But I'm not the student...) We used Sylvan over the summer which was great but very pricey. This year it's back to Math U See. Fingers crossed. I love that Trent reads sitting in his bucket. So cute!

I would sit in buckets and read all day long. Murphy talks about Kahn all the time - I'll have to check it out. Love the books the kids are reading - classics and mutually beloved, every one of them. This was a lovely offering and the leaf finale? Exquisite. I wish my mother had done for me what you're doing for those kids of yours.

Michelle- I think that Trent would love to stay in his pajamas all day too. I should let him every once in awhile.
Sarah- I think that Kahn Academy is getting better all the time. There are still a few gaps in it, but it is working better for us this year than it did last. If you look under coach- teacher resources- tools, there are some good tools worth looking at.
Tara- I like Math-U-See too...but Grace didn't. And I'm not the student. ; )
Kristen- Thank you. Those two books that Grace loved were both per your recommendation!
