Pinning it down {8} Cupcake liner wreath

flower box outside my windowI didn't do this on purpose, really.  But the pictures on my camera all seem to be coordinated, the colors of spring.   These colors make me so happy.

Little things, like the need for sunglasses, a sun warmed car to return while running errands, flowers in front of the grocery stores and little pups waiting outside for their owners, these are the sweet things in life that are making me smile.

the start of a spruced up front entry

My daughter has started making a quilt.  Neither one of us have any experience in doing this, but we're learning.  I love the fabrics that she chose.

When we bought the supplies for the quilt, the man at the fabric store suggested using this starch alternative for ironing the fabric strips.  It smells like lavender, and I love it so much that I have actually been looking for things to iron, which is weird for me....because I rarely iron anything.  Then I remembered something I read in Home Comforts, about ironing and starching just the pillow cases and the top part of the sheet.  Now, there's no going back.  It's such an easy way to add a little extra touch of luxury and comfort.

And here is this week's Pinning it Down Project.....a cup cake liner wreath.  I found the idea on this lovely blog.  The entire project cost less than $15 dollars and took about 30 minutes to make.  I love how it looks on my front door.   To find out how to make it, go here.

And to see what others are pinning down this week, go on and visit Pam's blog.

Oh that is so nice Dawn. And flowers outside already? That seems so crazy to me. We went down to -20C overnight.

My brother once gave me some lavendar water in a spray bottle, and I spent weeks ironing everything in sight. I must get some more. You're right, it's a little thing, but it makes a difference.

We've got snow. Three days of a sort of half-hearted drifting down. As though the spirit of winter hasn't quite given up yet, but doesn't have her heart in it. I have snowdrops, but nothing pink. Or lavender. the wreath worked out beautifully. Brave polka dots fluttering on butterfly wings all over your door. Almost you persuade me to venture out and find enough liners to do one. Surely, you have cheered up my eyes today.

Kristen, thank you. : ) Right after I posted this, we got snow too! It didn't stick, but it was very strange for this time of year.
