Once more, a picture heavy post without a lot of words. I'd really love to chat more, but life has been a bit of a whirlwind, yet it's all so good. This was a weekend of celebrations. We kicked it off on Friday with a house full of neighborhood friends. We had to say goodbye to a some of those friends for the summer. We're really going to miss them so a pizza party was in order.
The next day we got to wish "Mr. Baby" a happy first birthday. Our friend's house was full of little people under the age of three- along with their parents. So much energy, so much cuteness.....sometimes I really miss that age. But then again, there are some really great things about having older kids too. For example....
....today we got to see Trent perform on stage for the first time. He played the keyboard with a band. His song was called Bamboo Leaves. Oh my, what fun. This took place at a groovy little club with some amazingly talented musicians- very inspirational for Trent, who's just starting out. I'd show you the video we took, but it has terrible sound. The performance was recorded professionally and will be available soon, so I'll wait for that.
Then it was a quick trip home to drop off the kids and get ready for the next celebration, a wedding! A beautiful happy couple, romance, an evening out with my husband, it was a great ending to a very good weekend. And now, I'll take a deep breath, because this next week is going to be crazy busy. After that, I think that we'll actually get to start living a slower, summertime pace of life. I'll be ready.
