Hi, I'm Dawn Klinge, welcome!  I write here because doing so helps me to take notice of the sweet things in life.

Lots of links

I've been meaning to show you this cute new print that I have hanging in my kitchen.  I won a blog giveaway over at Crunchy Peas a few weeks ago.  She made some other designs as well, equally as cute, but this one was my favorite.

Speaking of design, I can't get enough of the Living with Kids house tours over at Design Mom.  I like seeing how stylish moms get creative with their homes.  It's not about spending a lot of money on decorating or having a perfect house, it's all about putting a little personality and love into a home.

Here's where we ended up going last Wednesday, on the first (and last?) day of summer.  It was an awesome park in Bellevue called Crossroads that had lots of water play features.  I put this picture in here to remind myself that yes, sometimes we do get beautiful days here around Seattle.  Right now, I actually have the heater on.

And here are my two contributions to this week's Making it Count link up.  Above, are some Caprese bites that I made for a party last Wednesday.  I loved these- and judging by how fast they were gobbled up, I think other people did too.  I found the original idea here.

Below, you see the Sesame Soba Noodle salad that I made on Sunday.  The original idea is found here.  I'm going to have to make it again because Derek tells me it was quite good.  I had to take his word for it because it was too crunchy for my sore mouth to handle two days after getting my wisdom teeth removed.  I added some cooked chicken because my husband wanted it that way- the original recipe is vegetarian.

To see what others have been doing to make their online time "count", go and check out the link up at Sarah's.

Your park amenities amaze me... What a blessing for young families! Here we have many beautiful spaces with trails, picnic tables and bathrooms, maybe a few playgrounds and fitness trails, but that is it. The soba noodle salad looks tasty. I may have to give it a try.

Thanks for posting the link to my blog post for the Caprese Bites. Really appreciate it. Also, love the looks of your salad and I'll be making it this summer. I like that you've added chicken. What a great lunch!
